  2. Fresh sage. Mmmmm. That might go nicely with the squashers. :)

Save some sage for Thanksgiving!! That was my first thought on seeing such a huge bunch. I have a suggestion for a delicata, if you’re a hot pepper jelly fan (I made some just to try this recipe from A Veggie Venture: http://kitchen-parade-veggieventure.blogspot.com/2006/12/delicata-squash-with-hot-pepper-glaze.html ).

I’ve linked up last Friday’s White Spinach pizza because I’m still tickled about making collages with pic monkey, and a Butternut Squash and Caramelized Onion Enchilada casserole.

Thanks for the orange muffin idea. I eat dirty (oh, that sounds so wrong) but I’ll be buying a case of oranges for the marching band fruit sale and need a stash of ideas for it.

    • Sorry to jump in here, but I’ve been trying to comment on your blog with no success. It won’t seem to let me drop a note from just a name/email/url standpoint, and I so badly want to. Your pizzas are amazing. :(

I have to say, I am quite the wimp when it comes to “hotness”. Although that hot paper jelly looks awesome :) Any other glaze you would recommend?

That pizza sounds killer! And who doesn’t love enchiladas :)

You are going to love the muffins. They were the first to go at the bake sale this weekend and they are usually gone from my home in 60 seconds. quite the treat!

ps: your collage looks great. So glad you like that program. keep it up

  5. Beautiful produce as always. I really am envious of the diversity in your boxes. They seem to change it up a little, and the sage and blackberries look beautiful. Great photo by the way. I’m guessing you took advantage of some outdoor lighting..? It’s amazing what a difference it makes. Here in Ohio anyway.

Thanks Meghan! Always take my pics outdoors to take advantage of the natural light. this might prove to be more difficult as the days get shorter but it really does make a world of difference.

Delicata squash — LOVE it! Slice it and roast it with olive oil, salt and pepper, and maybe some of that sage. Yum! You can even eat the skin — it’s tender.

I LOVE pink ladies! They are just the perfect apples. I pretty much treat all winter squash (except spaghetti) as the same thing, so you can pretty much cook anything calling for butternut with the delicata.

I finally linked up! I was out of town for a week, but luckily my husband picked up our CSA share.

  10. Awe man, blackberries! I’ve been missing them dearly, when I lived in Fort Bragg California I would frequently scoop some up on my bike rides. Delicious! Enjoy <3

I am really intrigued by the idea of onion pancakes! Might be worth checking out…
